Amazon Prime Video is now all the more customized and seemingly offers better accessibility. This is courtesy the Hindi user interface (UI) option that is now active on the content streaming service’s website. The new UI is now live, users can now check the new enhancement.

Now, the bright sides here are a generic increase in membership; but enhanced accessibility and inclusiveness are the other potential positives resulting from Amazon Prime’s latest move. This is completely relevant in India considering the fact that regional content has been posing stiff competition to English going by the increased traction for these on social media as well as the internet in general.

As far as the latest Hindi interface is concerned, Amazon Prime Video members would be able to navigate, search, and use multiple options. Also, users should be able to view their favourite content alongside Hindi subtitles and descriptions (in addition to English content).

Users of the Prime application should also be able to access the Hindi interface. To switch, members can navigate to Settings and make the change.

The above maneuver is an addition to Amazon Prime’s already existing regional language content  portfolio viz Kannada, Tamil, HIndi, Telugu, Marathi, and Bengali.

Amazon Prime Video India head Gaurav Gandhi hinted at a Telugu and Tamil interfaces, similar to the Hindi UI, being developed and launched in the very near future.

These developments undoubtedly adds to the growing demand for regional web content and content forms across digital platforms in India.

Another aspect to note at this point in time would be Amazon Prime Video’s competition with Netflix that has also been dominating the content streaming domain in India. With better choices, users would only be empowered to watch quality shows; which could also translate to the content producers putting in substantial efforts to ensure dissemination of quality content.

With competitors trying to one up in the content streaming domain, look forward to more players offering more exciting content in your favourite regional languages shortly. A regional content war now seems imminent. Get ready to support your favourite content streaming services. It should also not be an exaggeration to state that there could potentially be more newer service providers in the very near future.
