PUBG addiction: Woman files for a divorce after her husband stops her from playing PUBG

In what could be shocking news, a woman in UAE in her early 20s filed for a divorce after she had a fight over the game of PUBG with her husband.

In what could be shocking news, a woman in UAE in her early 20s filed for a divorce after she had a fight over the game of PUBG with her husband. Of late, we have seen so many cases of addiction towards the game of PUBG, and most of the time, this kind of addiction ends up causing a serious divide between relationships.

Here's what happened:

According to reports, Captain Wafa Khalil Al Hosani who is the director of the social centre at Ajman Police said that a woman came to the centre seeking help. She said that the woman justified her reasons for seeking a divorce from her husband.

The young woman in her early twenties said to Captain Wafa Khalil Al Hosani that she was being deprived of her right to chose her means of entertainment. The woman was into playing PUBG Mobile. Captain Wafa Khalil Al Hosani had to say:

"The woman justified her demand for divorce by saying that she was being deprived of her right to chose her means of entertainment as she derived pleasure and comfort from the game."

As per reports, her husband feared she would get addicted to PUBG and neglect her family duties to which the woman said that her love for PUBG was was well within limits. Interestingly, she also argued in her defence that she always kept the chat option of PUBG disabled in order to keep strangers away and she only played PUBG Mobile with her friends and relatives.

However, the man said to the police that he did not expect his wife to seek a divorce.

This is clearly not the first time we have come across such a case. Previously, we saw a report that a man left his pregnant wife after he started playing PUBG for abnormally long hours and failed to make things work due to his addiction towards the game.

Last month, parents in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are reportedly asking to impose a ban on the mobile game in their country due to “bad influence on youth” and the game’s “violent content and addictive nature.”
