PUBG Mobile India Series 2019 Witnesses 575,000 Registrations

The PUBG Mobile India Series 2019 that kicked off on January 9, in association with Oppo, has now received a massive 575,000 registrations which represents an impressive number as far as Esports tournaments in India is concerned.

The PUBG Mobile India Series 2019 has seen the top 2000 teams qualify, for the Online Playoffs (from the previous In-Game Qualifiers) that takes place from February 10 to February 24, 2019; between 5 PM IST to 10 PM IST. Notably, the last few days will feature the third and final round, the Semi-Finals, spanning over four days from February 21 to February 24, 2019.

PUBG Mobile fans watching the streams from the Official India YouTube Channel would stand a chance to potentially win Oppo smartphones by participating in custom lucky draws and viewer games. These viewer games would be held in the Solo mode.

Players could check out the Custom Room IDs with passwords during the PUBG Mobile India YouTube live streams when the Online Playoffs take place. During the Mobile India Series, renowned YouTubers would offer live commentary during the livestream of the matches. Loyalists could check out the official PUBG channels.

In related PUBG developments, the PUBG Lite is now live as a beta for gamers in Thailand. Based on the feedback acquired from Thailand, the folks over at PUBG Mobile would determine if the game could seed to other regions of the world (for other gamers).

The game modes that would work in PUBG Lite beta are Duo, Solo, and Squad - as a Third-Person-Perspective; working in tandem with the Erangel map. The system requirements for PUBG Lite are:

  • OS - 64-bit Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7
  • Graphics - Intel HD Graphics 4000
  • 4GB HDD
  • 4GB RAM
  • 2.4GHz Intel Core i3 processor.

“Since last October, we’ve been running multiple focus group tests in several SEA regions and are excited to now open up this beta test,” stated PUBG Mobile in an official blog.
