According to a report, a class IX student ended his life by hanging himself to a ceiling fan after his parents scolded him for playing PUBG Mobile. This incident took place in Nizamabad, Telangana.

According to a report, a class IX student ended his life by hanging himself to a ceiling fan after his parents scolded him for playing PUBG Mobile. This incident took place in Nizamabad, Telangana.

Here’s what happened:

Shreyas, a class IX student, was addicted to popular online battle royale game PUBG. His parents scolded him for spending a lot of time playing PUBG. Shreyas then hanged himself to the ceiling fan in his room. More details are awaited.

This is not the first time PUBG addiction has claimed someone's life. Recently, a 16-year old class X student in Hyderabad committed suicide after his parents scolded him for playing PUBG during exams

Suicide over PUBG in Hyderabad sparked a massive debate whether the multiplayer game should be banned as the boy’s father demanded a ban on the game.

In February, an 18-year-old teenager in Mumbai committed suicide after his parents refused to buy him a new mobile phone to play PUBG.

This is the extent to which the addiction to the game has reached, especially in India where parents have often been seen concerned about their children's addiction to mobile gaming.

In related news, Rajkot police wrote to Google requesting the company to prevent users frm downloading PUBG Mobile through from Play Store.

“We have said we have banned this, so if possible, if in any IP of this area they are downloading the game then we have said, stop it if you can,” Manoj Agarwal, Rajkot police commissioner, said.

Over the last few weeks, there has been a growing animosity against PUBG in India. One of the most important thing that we all need to address is the addiction among those who play the game.

There is a growing discomfort among parents because of PUBG. There are also cases of aggression among players who tend to get violent and reckless at times.
