Dell’s Latitude 7400 is world’s smallest commercial 14-inch 2-in-1 laptop with up to 24-hour battery life

Dell launched the Latitude 7400 in India on Friday – a business-class convertible laptop that’s being touted as the smallest commercial 14-inch 2-in-1 in the industry. The Latitude 7400 has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 1,35,000 (excluding GST) and will be available in eighth-generation Intel Core i5 and i7 configurations paired with up to 16GB RAM and up to 2TB storage.  

But the Latitude 7400 is more about the little features that it crams inside, rather than hardware specs – little features that make the Latitude 7400 stand out from the crowd and offer an interesting proposition for its asking price. The 14-inch Latitude 7400 has three key main selling points, according to Dell -  

1.The Latitude 7400 supports Dell’s Express Sign-in technology that uses a proximity sensor and Intel’s Context Sensing to automatically detect a user’s presence and wake the system, following which they can unlock it through Windows Hello – there's also a physical fingerprint reader, just in case. The laptop locks again once the user steps away from it, for both power saving and security purposes.  

2.The 78WHr battery inside the Latitude 7400 is claimed to last for up to 24 hours on single charge. The laptop, in addition, supports Dell’s Express Charge technology that can top it from 0-80 per cent in 1 hour. 

3.The Latitude 7400 supports Cat16 Gigabit LTE and Dell’s Express Connect technology for faster connectivity.
