The Sony PlayStation (PS) 4 Slim, PS VR, and the PS4 Pro that are comparatively newer are now rumoured to have received price cuts as a result of the GST rates being reduced recently. Hence, you could check out stores in case you are desirous of purchasing these gaming units in India.

At this juncture, major Indian e-tailers viz Flipkart and Amazon have already seemed to have resorted to effecting a price reduction on the Sony PS4 Slim, PS VR, and the PS4 Pro. As far as brick-and-mortar retail stores are concerned, there are rumours about these retailers also resorting to putting the newer reduced price tags on the gaming devices soon.

Now, e-tailer Flipkart is currently selling the Sony PS4 Pro  (1TB Black edition) ar Rs 36,999; the original pricing of the device was Rs 48999. A similar 1TB variant of a PS4 Slim,  bundled with The Last of Us and Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, now has a price tag of Rs 32990; down from its earlier Rs 36490. A PS VR is now selling at Rs 25890 on Flipkart.

It also seems that Amazon has also resorted to effecting a price reduction on the Sony PS4 Pro, PS4 Slim, and PS VR devices; at this juncture. Here, it is also worth noting that it is not confirmed if the above price cuts are a result of the GST rate reduction. Nonetheless an advantage at this juncture is the fact that it is now comparatively easy (on the pocket) to purchase Sony’s important gaming units. In case you are desirous of purchasing through physical retail store, do check thoroughly and confirm the price reduction.

In related developments, a next-gen variant of Sony’s gaming console is hugely rumoured to be showcased in 2019 followed by public unveiling in 2020. At this point in time, Microsoft is confirmed to participate in the E3 2019 where the Redmond-based company has already stated that it would have “lots to share” with gaming enthusiasts.
