New Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air with Intel's 8th-gen Core i3 processor launched

Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air is powered by Intel’s 8th generation i3 chipset and up to 8GB RAM. It packs 128GB SSD storage with expandability support using external HDD.

Xiaomi unveiled its all-new Mi Notebook Air in China starting at 3,999 Yuan, which roughly converts to 42,902 rupees. The new Mi Notebook Air has two variants to offer: 13.3 inches and 15.6 inches. Some of the main highlights powering the laptop are Intel’s 8th generation i3 chipset, support for fast charging, USB Type-C port and what not! We can say that prima facie Xiaomi’s new Mi Notebook series seem to have all that is required to stand out in the mid-high segment.

Internally, one can find up to 8GB RAM and 128GB SSD storage with expandability support using HDD under the hood. Both the models run the Windows 10 Home operating system. Design-wise, Xiaomi’s Mi Notebook Air lineup resembles Apple’s MacBook Air to a great extent, no one is surprised. As far as hardware performance is concerned, a baseline variant of Xiaomi’s latest Mi Notebook Air should perform adequately, courtesy of Intel 8th-gen core i3 processor.

As for other hardware specifications, both the models feature a 1080p Full HD screen with 80.1 per cent screen-to-body ratio. Hence, all bezels around the screen are expected to be trimmed down significantly to an extent where it enhances the overall look. In terms of connectivity, it has all the standard set of features like dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 Type-C port, HDMI port and more. It also features a fingerprint reader.

Xiaomi’s new Mi Notebook Air laptop weighs 1.3kg. And since it has a backlit keyboard, typing experience in the dark environment should not be much of a problem.
