Samsung Gear IconX (2019) wireless earbuds could be in works: Report

South Korean electronics giant Samsung is working on a newer edition of Gear IconX earbuds bearing the model number SM-R170, reports SamMobile citing sources. Samsung is tipped to introduce its upcoming Gear IconX earbuds in three colour options: Black, white, and yellow: Black, white, and yellow, in addition to the successors of Gear Sport and the Gear Fit 2. Samsung Gear IconX 2019 earbuds are said to have 8GB storage.

This is what the next IconX earbuds is expected to offer: Similar to Samsung Galaxy Watch, the next IconX could feature Samsung's Galaxy branding. Samsung could also tune by their next IconX earbuds by AKG. However, it is also likely to increase the cost significantly. Samsung is also launching the Bixby-powered Galaxy Home with AKG speakers sometime this year.

Samsung IconX 2019 is also expected to bump the battery specifications and life significantly. Although there may not be a major difference compared to Gear IcoX (2018) in terms of battery life, Samsung could also bump the battery capacity of the charging case.

Back in July last year, Samsung announced Gear IconX (2018) wireless earbuds powered by Bixby Voice in the Indian market for Rs 13,990.  It supports Bixby voice command that can be enabled by tapping and holding the earbud and control music or phone using your voice.

Samsung IconX is compatible with phones running Android 4.4 or later. It requires minimum 1.5GB RAM. The standard set of sensors includes an accelerometer, IR and capacitive touch.
