Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass Netflix-style subscription service for PC is now available in India. This means PC gamers can now access Microsoft’s new first-party along with third-party games on their Windows 10-based rigs, just like their Xbox One counterparts. Xbox Game Pass for PC has been launched in India initially in beta at a price of Rs 50 per month.

After the beta, the pricing will be Rs 329 per month. Microsoft has confirmed, Xbox Game Pass for PC will offer over 100 games from over 75 developers and publishers including Bethesda, Deep Silver, Devolver Digital, Paradox Interactive, SEGA, and more at launch. Just like how it is on console, Xbox Game Pass for PC will allow Windows 10 users to download games and play them both online as well as offline.

“Two years ago, we launched Xbox Game Pass on Xbox One, and since then we’ve seen how valuable a curated library of high-quality games can be for players and game developers alike. It offers a great way to discover and play your next favorite game. We researched whether a similar opportunity exists for PC players and PC game developers, and we believe that it does,” Xbox head, Phil Spencer wrote in an official blog post recently. “So, we designed a service specifically for the needs of PC gamers and PC game developers. It’s called Xbox Game Pass, just like the original, but it’s a new experience that we are building together with the PC community.”

Xbox Game Pass for PC will also bring day 1 access to internally developed Microsoft games at no extra charge, in addition to “discounts in the Microsoft Store on Windows of up to 20 per cent on games currently in the library and up to 10 per cent off related game DLC and add-ons.”

Some of the games available on Xbox Game Pass for PC include Forza Horizon 4, Metro Exodus, Sea of Thieves, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Football Manager 2019 and more.
