Xiaomi says it sold more than 5.3 million devices during festive sale across Flipkart, Amazon and Mi.com. Xiaomi claims it sold more than 3.8 million smartphones during the festive sale. Xiaomi further announced its Redmi Note 7 series became the best-selling smartphone series on Flipkart wheres on Amazon, Xiaomi became the best-selling smartphone brand.

On average, Xiaomi claims it sold 525 devices every minute across the range of devices including smartphones, TVs, fitness bands, power banks, earphones as well as the accessories on Flipkart's Big Billion Days, Amazon's Great Indian Festival and Diwali with Mi.com sales.

'We sold over 3.8 million smartphones'

Xiaomi says Redmi 7 and Redmi 7A were among the best-selling budget phones on Amazon while on Flipkart, five out of ten 'best-selling' smartphones were Xiaomi. In the smart TV category, Mi TV was the highest-selling TV on both Flipkart and Amazon, Xiaomi said. What's more, Xiaomi says Mi TV 4C Pro and Mi TV 4A Pro were among the leading smart TVs on Amazon.

As for everything else, Xiaomi says two out of top three bestsellers in the wearable category on Amazon were Mi Bands and two out of top three bestsellers in the power banks category were Mi Power Banks. Xiaomi also says two out of top three bestsellers in the security camera category on Amazon were Mi Security Camera whereas Mi Air Purifier 2S was the bestseller in the Air Purifier category on Amazon.

Flipkart saw 50 per cent growth in new users during festive sale

Previously, Xiaomi said it sold more than 2.5 lakh Mi TVs in the first few days of the festive sale across platforms. Last year, Xiaomi sold more than 20.5 lakh smartphones during the same interval, resulting in more than 50 per cent growth (year-on-year) YoY.

"We hope these Xiaomi purchases usher in the festive cheer for everyone and the festive cheer will continue to spread as we extend attractive offers across the entire Dussehra/Diwali period across online and offline," said Raghu Reddy, Head of Categories and Online sales at Xiaomi India.
