Bharti Airtel on Thursday unveiled a new brand identity for its home broadband services. Now, all Airtel home broadband plans will be available under new moniker -- Airtel Xstream Fibre. All Airtel Xstream Fibre plans claim to offer speeds upto 1Gbps citing rapid growth in terms of in-home high-speed data consumption. The Fibre service also complements Airtel Xstream digital content streaming service. Airtel Xstream offers a wide range of content catalogues including TV channels, movies and shows in English, Hindi and multiple Indian languages. Airtel Xstream also provides users with access to songs and other popular streaming apps. You can access Airtel Xstream on the range of devices, including TV, PC, and smartphones.
Airtel has a total of four plans to offer to Xstream Fibre users, claiming up to 1 Gbps speeds. Benefits include three months Netflix subscription gift, 12 months Amazon Prime membership, access to premium ZEE5 and Airtel Xstream content. Airtel Xstream Fibre customers can also purchase Airtel Xstream 4K Hybrid STB at Rs 2,249.
The base plan starts at Rs 799 with up to 100 Mbps speeds. It offers 150GB data per month, with the cost per GB of around Rs 5.32. It provides users with unlimited Airtel Xstream content. Airtel offers Rs 999 monthly plan with up to 200 Mbps speeds. This plan offers 300GB of high-speed broadband data, with the cost per 1GB of Rs 3.3 Benefits include three-month complimentary Netflix subscription, in addition to 12-month Amazon Prime subscription and access to Zee5 and Airtel Xstream content for free. The Rs 1,499 plan offers 500GB monthly data at up to 300 Mbps speeds, with the cost per 1GB of Rs 2.99. As far as the value-for-money proposition is concerned, this plan is not drastically different from one that costs Rs 999. All other complimentary benefits remain the same too. And the unlimited data at 1Gbps speeds is priced at Rs 3999. Except for this particular plan, all other plans can be upgraded to unlimited data at Rs 299.
