If you are an Airtel prepaid user, do check MyVodafone app for the supposedly re-introduced Rs 100 and Rs 500 recharge schemes. These plans are custom talktime packages.

Now, as per the official Airtel recharge portal that is rife with the Rs 100 and Rs 500 being reintroduced, the latter has been modified to offer Rs 81.75 talktime with validity of 28 days; whereas the former offers Rs 420.73 talktime over a 28-day validity period.

USP of both these plans is their lifetime validity offering. Not too long ago, Airtel along with other incumbent telcos had mandated prepaid subscribers to resort to minimum monthly recharges to keep their prepaid numbers active or opt for longer validity packs (including combo packs). Hence, do resort to a real-world test of both the new Rs 100 and Rs 500 prepaid schemes.

At this juncture, both the above Airtel prepaid schemes are said to be made active; but there are no details on whether these plans would be made live for prepaid subscribers across India. Hence, it should do a world of good for existing prepaid subscribers to check out the topup/recharge section under MyAirtel application now.

In other Airtel-related developments, the company recently made live the Rs 998 and Rs 597 recharge packages that have a validity period of 36 days and 168 days respectively. the Rs 998 prepaid plan offers just 12GB data, whereas the Rs 597 scheme comes with 6GB LTE data for their entire validity periods. Both the plans offer free unlimited voice calls (even roaming); along with 300 free text messages in a month.

Finally, Airtel also has a Rs 1699 annual recharge plan that offers free unlimited voice calling - even roaming; along with 1GB LTE data per day and 100 national SMS messages for free. This recharge scheme is valid for a complete 365 days in entirety.
