Android 9.0 OS Update For Realme 2 Smartphones Seeding Earlier Than Expected: Check Out Now

Realme 2 smartphones would receive Android 9.0 (pie) OS update either in Q1 2019 or maximum by Q2 next year. Users could check out their handsets on a regular basis.

If you are a user of Realme 2 mid-range smartphone, then there is good news in store as Realme has revealed that the handsets would receive Android 9.0 (Pie) OS update ias early as in the first quarter or latest by the second quarter of 2019. This rollout could be phased as well.

Now, Realme India in an official tweet, while replying to a twitter user who apparently could be a user/enthusiast, the company stated that all Realme 2 phones would be seeded Android Pie OS update. This means that the newer user interfaces (UI) could come to Realme 2 phones earlier than expected.

At this juncture, it is worth noting that the smartphone was launched during August 2018 and falls into the mid-range phones category; a segment that has seen increased user traction for Chinese brands viz Xiaomi, OnePlus, and Vivo. Hence, the potential competition between Xiaomi and Realme in this segment is worth checking out and anticipating. Here. not too long ago Xiaomi brought out it Redmi Note 6 Pro which is a premium mid-range and almost the same time Realme unveiled the U1 that went up for sale in a “flash sale” on Amazon.

As far as the Android Pie OS update is concerned, Realme 2 users could check their smartphones on a regular basis for newer notifications, as Q1 2019 is not too far from now. To manually check for new OS update related notifications, users could navigate to Settings > Updates> Check for updates.
