Apple is set to refresh its iPhone line-up tonight. Apple has scheduled its special event at the iconic Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California. The launch event kicks off at 10 am PDT (10:30 pm IST). In what could be good news, Apple has also extended the availability of the live stream to YouTube. Up until now, Apple allowed users to watch the live stream of its events on its official website. Last year, Apple made its event live stream available on Twitter.
Apple is expected to unveil three new iPhone models that are so similar to last year’s lineup. Apple will show off its latest iPhones on Tuesday at an annual hardware showcase. However, the buzz surrounding its best-selling products has dwindled, as have sales, in the absence of compelling new features.
Apple's 2019 iPhones will likely mirror last year’s iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max. But what about prices, you may ask? Well, prices of Apple's 2019 iPhone line-up is likely to stay at $750 to $1,100. Furthermore, new iPhones will likely have the same design. The difference expected in terms of more display space, less bezel and no home button. If you recall, Apple switched to no home button with the iPhone X in 2017.
The most significant difference is likely to be on the phone’s camera. Camera and photography are where Apple and its rivals have all been trying to improve. As consumers snap more pictures on their devices, improvements to the camera are imperative.
Apple is expected to add an extra camera lens to each model this time around. The two pricier models already have a telephoto lens for better zoom. Now, they are expected to sport a third, wide-angle lens to capture more of a scene than regular shots. One of the models is also expected to get one of those features, but it’s not clear which.
