Apple Maps have now received a new India-centric update that lets users check out turn-by-turn navigation. This functionality is now said to be live as well. Apple iOS user could not check out the new features within their mobile devices.

Now, this comes at a time when Google Maps’ domination continues unabashed in India. Nonetheless, core Apple loyalists could have lots to cheer about with the new updates as it claims to only improve the overall Maps experience from a user perspective. Apple Maps users should now be able to observe additional aspects such as shortest walking routes, driving directions, and the ability to hail cab rides; all from within the Apple Maps application.

Hence, Apple Maps users can check out the app and share thoughts/insights on the new turn-by-turn navigation functionality.

In related news, the next-generation of Apple iPhone handsets could be assembled in India courtesy a new unit in Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu via Foxconn’s customized plants. Earlier, multiple iPhone handsets were assembled in Bangalore. According to reports, Foxconn would also make investments in the range of Rs 2500 crores towards expansion of the iPhones assembly plants; this could directly or indirectly lead to the creation of as many as 25000 jobs in the state of Tamil Nadu.

Also, Apple loyalists have hugely been expecting the Cupertino-based company to launch a new 10-inch iPad that could succeed the current 9.7-inch edition. There are also speculations concerning an iPad Mini 5 whose last variant came out in 2015.
