Qualcomm, at the current CES 2019, has stated that it has been working intensively on driving the 5G connectivity as far as hardware is concerned, and one major announcement coming out from the CES 2019 event is the fact that more than 30 devices in 2019 would be driven by the 5G-compatible Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoCs. These would also incorporate a X50 5G modem under-the-hood.

Now, the key takeaway at this point in time is the fact that 5G revolution is hugely expected to kick-off from 2019. Earlier, Qualcomm already made official partnerships with LG in a bid to launch smartphones powered by the Snapdragon 855. AT this juncture, it is worth noting that futuristic technology such as 5G network standards, artificial intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Data Sciences, in tandem with the Internet-of-Things (IoT) could drive the way things are perceived. This means that there could be potentially a smarter world with people and machines connected so that information exchange gets digital mediums.

Also, 5G connectivity yielding world-class internet speeds is certainly a key element within the “smart cities” of the globe. Hence, with Qualcomm having announced partnerships and intentions to bring out the world’s initial set of 5G-compatible hardware; it only is a matter of time before these innovations become an integral part of human life; just like how technology like VoLTE, WhatsApp, and more are dominating human lives across the world.
