Huawei has launched a new mid-range phone called the Y9s in select markets which seems to be a slightly bumped up variant of the Y9 Prime 2019 which was recently launched in India. Just like the Y9 Prime 2019, the Y9s is also a pop-up selfie camera phone. It also has triple rear cameras with a 48MP main sensor and a 4,000mAh battery powering the whole thing with USB Type-C charging.
The Huawei Y9s continues Huawei’s signature gradient finish design – the phone will be available in Midnight Black and Breathing Crystal options. Unlike the Y9 Prime 2019, the Y9s has a side mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication. There’s also USB Type-C for charging and data syncing.
In terms of core specs, the Huawei Y9s has a 6.59-inch LCD display with a 1080p+ resolution. The phone is powered by Huawei’s in-house Kirin 710 processor paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage which is also expandable. The dual-SIM phone runs Android Pie-based EMUI 9.1 and pack a 4,000mAh battery under the hood.
On to the optics, the Huawei Y9s comes with a triple rear camera setup consisting of one 48MP main, 8MP ultra-wide, and 2MP depth sensor. The Huawei Y9s further comes with a 16MP pop-up selfie camera.

The Huawei Y9 2019 sells in India at a price of Rs 15,990 for the variant with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage.
