Apple historically has never revealed granular hardware details of any of its iPhones. The amount of RAM they ship with, or their battery capacities, come out in the open only when one buys a new iPhone and installs a third-party app like AIDA64 (and others) on it. The iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max will be available for buying in India from September 27, so there’s still some time we may be able to figure things out. Meanwhile, a new leak – coming from serial tipster @OnLeaks – gives us an early look at the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max’s RAM and battery capacities. We advise you to take this piece of information with a pinch of salt though.
According to the tipster, the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max will ship with more RAM and bigger batteries in comparison to their predecessors, aka iPhone XR, iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. While 6GB RAM is common in Android phones these days, this maybe the first time an iPhone ships with as much RAM. Both the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max are said to come with 6GB RAM while the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max came with 4GB RAM. The iPhone 11 is meanwhile said to come with 4GB RAM while the iPhone XR came with 3GB RAM.
For those who care about these details #Apple never share officially, seems like:
— Steve H.McFly (@OnLeaks)
- #iPhone11 = 4GB RAM + 3110mAh battery (Xr = 3GB + 2942mAh)
- #iPhone11Pro = 6GB RAM + 3190mAh battery (Xs = 4GB RAM + 2658mAh)
- #iPhone11ProMax = 6GB RAM + 3500mAh (Xs Max = 4GB RAM + 3174mAh)
In terms of battery capacities, while the iPhone 11 Pro Max is said to come with a 3,500mAh battery, the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 reportedly pack 3,190mAh and 3,110mAh batteries. No wonder, Apple is touting vastly better battery life in these new iPhones.
Elsewhere, the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max pack new hardware – which is Apple’s new A13 Bionic chip. While the iPhone 11 Pro (5.8-inch) and iPhone 11 Pro Max (6.5-inch) come with OLED panels (Apple is calling them Super Retina XDR), the iPhone 11 (6.1-inch) packs an LCD. While the iPhone 11 has an all-glass body, the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max are carved out of stainless steel and glass with smooth matte finish. All the three new iPhones are IP68-certified and come with new haptics sans Apple’s 3D Touch.
The iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max further come with three 12MP rear cameras – wide, ultra-wide and telephoto. The iPhone 11 meanwhile comes with dual 12 rear cameras – wide and ultra-wide. There’s also a new night-mode now akin to Google’s Night Sight.
