The Moto 360 with its ‘flat tire’ rounded design was perhaps one of the first Android-based smartwatch that looked good, and also got the job done. But then Motorola stopped making it. The last Moto 360, which was only the second-generation Moto 360, was launched in 2015. For those who care, the Moto 360 is making a comeback – Motorola isn’t making it anymore, however.

The third-generation Moto 360 is made by a company called eBuyNow and while it may look a lot like the original, everything inside has been updated circa 2019. At the same time, even though it looks a lot like the original, the third-generation Moto 360 is different – gone is the flat tire. Instead, this one has a fully rounded display making it look more like a real timepiece – something that even the original vouched for in many ways. The third-generation Moto 360 is made of stainless steel and will be available in Steel Grey, Rose Gold, and Phantom Black options.

In terms of specs, the Moto 360 2019 comes with a 1.2-inch OLED display with a 360x360 pixel resolution – this one has an always-on display. The smartwatch is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear 3100 paired with 1GB RAM and 8GB storage. The software inside is Google’s Wear OS. The Moto 360 2019 is further backed by a 355mAh battery with fast charging support which is claimed to fully top it from 0-100 per cent in one hour.

In terms of design, the Moto 360 2019 has a circular body with a distinct crown that lets you scroll through options. There’s also another physical button that you can remap to open apps.

There’s a heart rate monitor built into it, as well as GPS and NFC, Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi b/g/n. The Moto 360 2019 is also water-resistant up to 3ATM.

The third-generation Moto 360 has been launched at a price of $350 which roughly translates to Rs 24,840. Shipping will start in December. For some perspective, the second-generation Moto 360 was launched in India in 2015 at a price of Rs 19,999. Motorola has since discontinued the Moto 360, as mentioned earlier.
