The next Moto G, or the Moto G8, or more precisely, the Moto G8 Plus has leaked online ahead of its expected unveiling on October 24. Renders of the phone in question are now doing the rounds of the internet showing it off from every perceivable angle. The phone’s spec-sheet is also out in the open basically leaving nothing to the imagination.

Moto G8 Plus incoming on October 24

In terms of design, there’s not anything new on offer here. The Moto G8 Plus looks like a very familiar Moto phone with what appears to be a glossy back – in blue and maroon – with a physical fingerprint scanner. The phone’s seen having three rear cameras arranged vertically on one end. On the front, there’s a waterdrop-style notch and a substantial chin.

In terms of specs, the Moto G8 Plus is said to come with a 6.3-inch 1080p+ IPS LCD display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor under the hood. The phone is said to come with 4GB RAM and up to 128GB storage which would be expandable. The phone is further said to be backed by a sizeable 4,000mAh battery with fast charging support. The triple camera setup on the rear is said to come with a 48MP min camera, a 16MP ultrawide ‘Action’ cam like the one in the Moto One Action, and another 5MP depth sensor for portrait photography. On the front, the phone is said to come with a 25MP camera.

The Moto G8 Plus is expected to be launched at a keynote event in Brazil on October 24.

Motorola is also working on a phone with a pop-up selfie camera module. Renders of the phone were recently posted on a Motorola Latin America community page on Facebook leaving nothing to the imagination. As per the images, the unnamed Motorola phone will come with a near all-screen front thanks to a pop-up selfie cam mechanism. This mechanism falls in line with the design now made common by many Vivo phones. There will be two rear cameras in this phone. There will also be a physical fingerprint scanner on the back for biometric authentication that should double as a notification LED as well. More details are awaited.
