More details about Motorola’s first pop-up selfie camera phone have surfaced. The phone in question will apparently be called the Motorola One Hyper and by the looks of it, this will be a follow up to the Motorola One Vision in many ways. Phones with pop-up selfie cams have been around for some time now but this is the first time Motorola seems interested in the design trend – after having come with a slew of punch hole display phones including the Moto One Vision.

The Moto One Hyper was unceremoniously posted on a Motorola Latin America community page on Facebook recently – a whole host of images shared therein left nothing to the imagination in terms of design that is. As per the images shared on Facebook, the phone will come with a near all-screen front thanks to a pop-up selfie cam mechanism. On the back there will be dual cameras.

There will also be a physical fingerprint scanner on the back for biometric authentication that should double as a notification LED as well. In one of the images, this ring (which is also home to the Motorola batwing logo) was seen all lit-up.

In terms of hardware, the Moto One Hyper is said to come with a 6.39-inch 1080p+ IPS LCD display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. The phone is said to come with a 64MP main camera and another depth sensor on the back, and a 32MP camera on the front – in pop-up style. The phone is further said to pack a 3,600mAh battery.

Software should be in line with what we’ve come to expect from Motorola phones now – which is stock Android basically with Moto enhancements. It is yet to be seen if this phone falls in line with the company’s Moto One Android One lineup or if it’s going to come without Android One branding.

Motorola is expected to launch a slew of budget devices like the Moto G8 at a keynote event in Brazil on October 24. It would be interesting to see if the Moto One Hyper also makes an appearance.
