The European pricing for the five rear camera-toting Nokia 9 PureView phone has leaked online suggesting it could be one expensive phone: even more expensive than the Nokia 8 Sirocco. Tipster Nokia_Leaks says the Nokia 9 PureView will cost anywhere between EUR 749-799 which roughly translates to a price close to or above Rs 60,000. The Nokia 8 Sirocco was launched in India for Rs 49,999 although the price of the phone has gone down since then.

The same tipster also says that HMD will launch the Nokia 9 PureView in Europe in the third or fourth week of January 2019, in line with ongoing rumours of a January-end launch. The same tipster also previously said that HMD is also working on a 5G-ready Nokia phone, possibly with the Snapdragon 855 under the hood, in partnership with Qualcomm. This 5G Nokia phone is said to debut sometime in August later this year.

The Nokia 9 PureView will still be HMD’s true 2019 flagship phone though. A promotional video of the Nokia 9 PureView recently made its way to the Internet giving on-lookers a good idea of what’s in store. The video confirmed that the Nokia 9 PureView will indeed come with five rear cameras and users will be able to shoot five simultaneous shots with the phone’s penta-camera setup. The penta-camera setup, according to the video, will allow for up to 10x increased light capture for enhanced low-light photography. The Nokia 9 PureView will further be able to shoot “stunning crisp HDR photos," basis of the video.

The leaked video also spilled the beans on design and core hardware. The Nokia 9 PureView will apparently come with a 5.99-inch 2K+ PureDisplay, stock Android Pie (Android One) software, and Qi wireless charging. The phone is also said to ditch a conventional fingerprint scanner in favour of an in-display fingerprint scanner. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor is further said to be on the cards which is a little disappointing since it means the Nokia 9 PureView will be missing out on next-generation hardware. It is further said to come with up to 6GB RAM and up to 128GB storage.
