The Nokia 9 PureView is delayed once again. A new report suggests that HMD Global has postponed the launch of the Nokia 9 PureView to MWC 2019, which is slated for February end. The Nokia 9 PureView was previously said to debut in January but it seems that is no longer the case. The report adds that the Nokia 9 PureView will launch with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 (as previously reported) which means it will arrive at a time when rivals will be pushing out their own flagship phones with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Soc.

The European pricing for the five rear camera-toting Nokia 9 PureView phone had recently leaked online suggesting it could be one expensive phone: even more expensive than the Nokia 8 Sirocco. According to tipster Nokia_Leaks, the Nokia 9 PureView will cost anywhere between EUR 749-799 which roughly translates to a price close to or above Rs 60,000. The new report concerning the delayed launch also corraborates the pricing.

The Nokia 9 PureView will be HMD’s true 2019 flagship phone but presence of a Qualcomm Snapdon 845 processor may not sit well with many loyalists and critics. A 5G-ready variant of the Nokia 9 with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 is expected in the later part of the year, but it is possible that it wouldn’t be as widely available as the Nokia 9 with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845.

If such be the case, the penta camera setup on the Nokia 9 PureView will have to be nothing short of ground-breaking to justify its older hardware and high price tag. A promotional video of the Nokia 9 PureView recently made its way to the Internet giving on-lookers a good idea of what could be in store.

The video confirmed that the Nokia 9 PureView will indeed come with five rear cameras and users will be able to shoot five simultaneous shots with the phone’s penta-camera setup. The penta-camera setup, according to the video, will allow for up to 10x increased light capture for enhanced low-light photography.

The leaked video also spilled the beans on core hardware. The Nokia 9 PureView, as per the video, will come with a 5.99-inch 2K+ PureDisplay, stock Android Pie (Android One) software, and Qi wireless charging. The phone is also said to ditch a conventional fingerprint scanner in favour of an in-display fingerprint scanner. It is further said to come with up to 6GB RAM and up to 128GB storage.
