OnePlus 6T Display Flicker Issue: Have You Noticed These Within Your Handsets?

Some OnePlus 6T users have been complaining about a display flickering issue on their smartphones. If you are  user of the handset, do check and let us know if your device is working normally, especially the display.

Now, as per new reports and official OnePlus forums, multiple OnePlus 6T owners have stated that they suddenly could notice bursts of colours flickering on the screen; randomly. Users have also stated that the flickering disappears after a short while. This issue reportedly took place at the fingerprint sensor while unlocking the handset.

Here, another user threw hints on this issue being random. Seemingly, even a factory reset also did not work out; for some users who detected the display flicker.

Based on these reports, one inference that could be drawn is that the display flicker seems to be only a minor glitch which could be done away in case OnePlus chooses to seed a patch/update. We also checked for the issue on a OnePlus 6T handset, but could not detect any.

Hence, the OnePlus 6T could only be restricted to certain regions, or when certain display settings are changed/altered. Users could also have unknowingly resorted to changing display settings; nonetheless, you could share insights on this issue.

At this juncture,it is worth noting that OnePlus is heavily rumoured to launch a 5G-enabled smartphone. Rumour mills are also indicating that this handset would be a device other than the OnePlus 7. This device joins a spat of already rumoured smartphones that would be 5G compatible.
