Realme X2 Pro brings a 90Hz display & 50W fast charging for Rs 29,999

Oppo spin-off brand Realme launched the Realme X2 Pro, its most ambitious smartphone to date, in India on Wednesday. The Realme X2 Pro is Realme’s first true-blue flagship phone but as is with all products Realme, it doesn’t cost a bomb to own. You can say that it is a flagship killer phone, sort of like the OnePlus 7T – but even more affordable. The Realme X2 Pro price in India starts at Rs 29,999.

Realme X2 Pro specs and features

The Realme X2 Pro has a 6.5-inch 1080p+ OLED display with a waterdrop-style notch. The phone supports HDR10+ and boasts of a 90Hz refresh rate like the OnePlus 7T. The Realme X2 Pro is in fact the most affordable phone in India to pack such high-end display credentials.  

The phone has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and an in-display fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication. Under the hood, the Realme X2 Pro has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.0 storage (non-expandable) which is claimed to be up to 80 per cent faster than UFS 2.1. 

The Realme X2 Pro is further backed by a 4,000mAh battery with 50W SuperVOOC fast charging support which is claimed to top up 80 per cent of the its battery in just 30 minutes. The phone also has vapour cooling and dual stereo speakers with support for both Dolby Atmos and High-Res audio.  

On to the cameras, the Realme X2 Pro comes with four rear cameras – a 64MP main camera, a 13MP telephoto camera for 2x optical zoom and up to 20x hybrid zoom, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with 115-degree field-of-view, and a 2MP portrait camera. On the front, the Realme X2 Pro has a 16MP camera. Realme has tied with DJI to showcase the Realme X2 Pro's HDR video recording capabilities.

Speaking of design, the Realme X2 Pro has a glass and metal sandwich design with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front (2.5D) as well as on the back (3D). The outer frame is made of anodized aluminum. The phone will be available in Neptune Blue and Lunar White colours as well as two Master Editions in red and grey. 

Realme X2 Pro India price, availability

Realme has launched the Realme X2 Pro in India at a starting price of Rs 29,999 for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage going all the way to Rs 33,999 for the top-end variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The Master Edition with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage will be available for Rs 34,999. The phone will be available for buying from Flipkart and Realme's own online store from November 26 - and offline soon. First 10,000 buyers will be eligible for a 7-day return in case they are not satisfied with their purchase.
