The Samsung Galaxy Fold, which was launched very recently is undoubtedly attractive and unconventional as far as design patterns are concerned. But if you think for an instant, “Doesn’t it make sense for the smartphone to offer the durability that it is supposed to offer and still allow users to use it under varying environments?”

Samsung has apparently attempted to answer this query through a new video which shows the Galaxy Fold being subjected to varying degrees of treatments. How did the handset perform in these tests, read on to know more?

Samsung Galaxy Fold durability

First of all, check out the video of these durability tests,

.

If you gauge the video carefully, then the handset being subjected to multiple folds, probably translating to a number that could be a multiple of a hundred. Now, these tests are resorted to using machines and the force applied seems to be consistent in each fold. The Samsung Galaxy Fold seemingly holds its own during these tests and seems to remain in working condition with each fold. The smartphone does not seem to let go of its working properties. Hence, the question that comes to mind at this point in time is the apparent number of times the Galaxy Fold could be folded without rendering it unusable.

What do these tests indicate?

The key inference from the above tests, conducted by Samsung, seemingly indicate the fact that the key USP of the Galaxy Fold which is folding, could offer consistent working experience for users which is seemingly a notable aspect as it becomes normal for users (once the device is released commercially) to fold/unfold the device frequently - mostly with consistent force.

The outer body of the smartphone seems to be built for experiences involving usage even by children. This translates into greater usage, meaning a real-world test of its flexibility.

Though the fold tests were the only evaluations in the above video, the Galaxy Fold appears to be a strong phone at least on paper. This should offer you a comparatively good stance to use the Galaxy Fold under varying conditions. Do share your thoughts on the durability of the handset.
