Samsung can’t catch a break it seems, for its Galaxy S10 line-up has been leaking left, right and center. While we already have a fair idea of what’s in store, a fresh leak spotted online gives away way too much information about the Galaxy S10+’ design. Much to Samsung’s dismay. The leak shows off an “official press render of the forthcoming smartphone from a reliable source,” and leaves nothing to the imagination. Moreover, the dateline – March 8 – mentioned in the render also drops major clues regarding possible availability of the Galaxy S10 line-up.

The alleged Samsung Galaxy S10+ shown off in the leaked render appears to have a gradient design. It is mostly white but also comes with subtle hues of pink. Imagine the alpine white Galaxy Note 9 with a light bending paintjob. If true, this would be the first time that Samsung would experiment with such a design – a design that has been made popular by brands like Huawei with phones like the Mate 20 Pro. There are rumours that the highest-end variant of the Galaxy S10+ would be made of ceramic which would be scratch resistant and also resistant to falling. This variant is also said to pack 12GB RAM and 1TB storage (which could be a possibility now that Samsung’s one-terabyte (TB) embedded Universal Flash Storage (eUFS) 2.1 for smartphones has entered mass production).

Coming back to the render, the leak also corroborates ongoing rumours that the Samsung Galaxy S10+ would come with three rear cameras and two selfie cameras embedded into the display (something that Samsung calls Infinity-O). The secondary lens in this dual cam setup could be wide-angle much like how things are in the Google Pixel 3 and Google Pixel 3 XL, but there’s no clarity on that yet. The vanilla Galaxy S10 is also expected to come with three rear cameras, but only a single selfie camera, again in punch-hole fashion.

The render also seemingly confirms that the Samsung Galaxy S10+ would drop a conventional fingerprint scanner and instead offer an in-display fingerprint scanner. The vanilla Galaxy S10 is also expected to pack the same solution for biometric authentication.

Samsung will launch its 10th anniversary flagship Galaxy S10 phones on February 20 ahead of MWC 2019. Now Samsung is known to bring its flagship Galaxy S and Galaxy Note phones to India just days after their global launch, at least that’s how it has been lately. We expect the Galaxy S10 line-up to arrive in India as soon as in the first week of March.
