Samsung will launch the Galaxy Note 10 on August 7 

Samsung will launch the Galaxy Note 10 on August 7 at a standalone Unpacked keynote event in New York City. As has become sort of customary with the company, Samsung has shared the launch date on social media channels well in advance and even though it doesn’t name the product, the teaser’s self-explanatory. There’s the all-familiar S-Pen – which has long been the marquee feature of the Galaxy Note - hovering around in free space hinting at the imminent launch of the next Note, aka the Galaxy Note 10. 

Last year, Samsung made a big deal about the Note 9’s S-Pen that came with some stand-alone qualities. That’s not the case this year. The Galaxy Note 10 will focus not so much on improving upon the features of the existing S-Pen – so it seems – but more on the design aspect. The Galaxy Note 10 will join the ranks of the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+ and Galaxy S10e (launched earlier in the year) with its Infinity-O punch-hole design – at least that’s what the teaser seems to suggest. There will be a single camera cut-put on the front though – and not dual cameras like the Galaxy S10+. 

Now, the Galaxy Note has usually been in line with the Plus Galaxy S phones in the past – but looks like, that’s changing with the Galaxy Note 10. The Galaxy S10+, to recall, has two cameras embedded into the punch-hole.   

Rumor has it that Samsung may also re-position the cut-out in the Galaxy Note 10 – another design choice that should set it apart from the Galaxy S10+. The Galaxy Note 10 is said to have the punch-hole dead-set in the middle – while in the Galaxy S10 devices, it’s on one end.  

Like the Galaxy S10 series, Samsung may be looking at launching multiple devices under the Galaxy Note 10 lineup – which would be a first for the Galaxy Note. At least three devices are said to be in the fray – a regular 6.28-inch Galaxy Note 10 and a larger 6.75-inch Galaxy Note 10+ (or Galaxy Note 10 Pro) with its own separate 5G-ready model for select markets.
