Xiaomi loyalists across the world could now take notice as the popular Mi Note, as well as Mi Max premium smartphones, have now seemingly entered their last legs. This means that Xiaomi loyalists would not be able to buy the Mi Note and Mi Max phones.

In an official posting on Chinese social networking site Weibo (translated), Xiaomi’s Chief Executive Officer Lei Jun has stated that there are “no plans for the new Max and Note this year”. Jun has stated that Xiaomi would lay increased emphasis on the Redmi brand and devices such as the Xiaomi 9 and Xiaomi 9SE.

As far as the Mi Note and Mi Max devices are concerned, there are

no special plans to have successor devices for these phones. Here, it is worth remembering that both the handsets turned out to be popular in the premium category. However, these devices could not sustain for long conbsidering the ovrcrowded smartphone market - more so, with the emergence of Chinese brands such as Oppo, Vivo, and OnePlus (earlier). Nonetheless, the Mi Max and Mi Note were popular in Xiaomi's home country of China. Hence, it now seems that Xiaomi wants to prioritise popular phones which is clearly evident.
