Design of the upcoming OnePlus smartphone may have been revealed online. A tipster Ishan Agarwal tweeted a photo of what appears to be an internal product design presentation meeting at OnePlus. The tweet shows OnePlus chief executive officer Pete Lau holding the phone in his hands. At the same time, a similar-looking phone can be seen on the presentation slide in the background.
This has led to widespread speculation on what the upcoming OnePlus device could look like. But upon taking a closer look, this mysterious phone resembles Nokia Lumia 1020 to a great extent. It flaunts a huge, similar-looking circular camera module at the rear.
To recall, Nokia Lumia 1020 provided users with a 41MP circular camera module. In fact, Xiaomi recently teased a 48MP camera. Whether OnePlus is also planning to introduce a 48MP camera phone is something only time will tell. We are awaiting more information. Reports speculate that it could be either OnePlus 7 or OnePlus 5G smartphone.
The upcoming OnePlus 5G smartphone has been making the headlines for quite some time now. OnePlus smartphones are better known for their affordable status. Earlier, CNET reported that introducing a 5G smartphone in the form of a direct OnePlus 6T successor will have a significant impact on its affordability, further affecting the company’s value-for-money proposition to some extent. As for the talk of the town, OnePlus is likely to keep its 5G and regular line-up separate from each other.
