Vodafone-idea has seemingly rolled out a new Rs 24 recharge scheme for prepaid users that is valid for 28 days. Now, this prepaid scheme falls under the validity extension plans ambit considering the fact that the plan’s benefits look custom-made for those preferring to keep their Vodafone-Idea numbers active and to avoid deactivation.
The Rs 24 prepaid recharge scheme is reflecting at the official Idea prepaid recharge portal. As far as its benefits are concerned, the Rs 24 plan comes offers local, national calls at 2.5 paise per second along with offering 100 local onnet night minutes and local text messages at Rs 1 whilst national SMS messages are charged at Rs 1.5.
Hence, the Vodafone-Idea Rs 24 prepaid recharge scheme seems custom-made only in case you are desirous of extending your validity by another 28 days; whilst maintaining your current Vodafone-Idea prepaid number intact. Here, it is worth noting that non-recharge over a period of time would lead to Vodafone-Idea suspending even incoming calls to your current number; requiring you to recharge.
The best way to escape this “fatality” is through long validity recharges. Here, annual recharge plans have seemingly become a new trend and almost all incumbent/new telcos have started following this lead by offering custom long-validity plans that are valid for a period of 365 exact days while offering benefits such as free unlimited calls, at least 1GB LTE data per day, 100 free text messages in a day, and free national roaming.
Telcos such as Reliance jIo, Airtel, BSNL, and even Vodafone-Jio - all offer annual recharge plans through which users could escape the hassles of having to recharge their prepaid accounts every 28 days. Apart from 365-day recharges, there are also semi-long recharge schemes for prepaid users as well by major telcos.
