Vodafone Idea has formed a strategic alliance with Home Credit India, an international consumer finance provider. As a result of this partnership, Vodafone Idea users can purchase the latest 4G smartphones starting at Rs 799 downpayment. In addition to the device, Vodafone Idea prepaid customers will now receive a bundled 180-day validity plan offering unlimited local and national calls and 1.5GB daily high-speed data. Vodafone Idea customers can select 4G smartphones of their choice from a wide range of options across popular, available starting at Rs 3,999. Irrespective of the cost of the handset chosen, the down payment remains constant at Rs 799, the telco says, adding that the cost is significantly lower than the market norm of down payment, which is 30 to 40 per cent of the handset value.
"It is our constant endeavour to deliver the most relevant proposition and value to our customers," said Avneesh Khosla, Operations Director of Marketing at Vodafone Idea Limited. "This bundled telecom offer will enable non-users of 4G to upgrade and experience the benefits of mobile internet while enjoying a richer user experience with Vodafone Idea."
With this partnership, Vodafone Idea hopes to accelerate the adoption of 4G smartphones and 'democratise access to Vodafone Idea 4G.' The system will be powered by Home Credit’s consumer financing offer to Vodafone Idea customers, who can access finance in 179 cities of operations of Home Credit India through the vast Point-of-Sale (PoS) network of 29,000. Vodafone Idea customers can walk into any PoS and upgrade their smartphone
The Vodafone Rs 799 plan has a 6-month validity. Throughout its validity of 180 days, it offers 1.5GB daily data. At the end of the plan's validity, you would have enjoyed a total of 270GB of data within the stipulated period with cost per 1GB of Rs 2.95. Other benefits include daily 100 SMS (both local as well as national). So, you will end up having a total of 18,000 free SMS. It offers unlimited local and national calls, in addition to free national roaming.
