Xiaomi has finally taken the wraps off the Redmi Note 6 Pro in the Indian market. Folks over at Xiaomi India held the launch event in New Delhi today where it officially announced price, features and specifications of the handset. Interested customers can buy the Redmi Note 6 Pro for the first time tomorrow November 23 on Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home store as part of the Black Friday sale.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro starts at Rs 13,999 for the base variant with 4GB RAM and goes all the way up to Rs 15,999 for 6GB RAM variant.

Xiaomi announced the Redmi Note 6 Pro to Indian customers with multiple colour options to choose from such as Black, Red and Rose Gold. The company also announced certain cashback offers and benefits for those looking to purchase the handset.

In term of specifications, Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro sports 6.26-inch Full HD notched display featuring 403 ppi pixel density and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Powering the handset is Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chip with the Adreno 509 GPU for graphics, much like Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro runs Android Oreo 8.1 operating system with the company’s MIUI 10 custom UI on top. As for cameras, the Redmi Note 6 Pro has 12MP + 5MP dual rear cameras with dual pixel autofocus and electronic image stabilisation (EIS) for recording videos. It incorporates several other camera modes and features as well. Up front, there’s a 20MP + 2MP dual selfie camera unit.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro has two memory configurations to offer: 4GB RAM and 6GB RAM. It has 64GB internal storage, which is further expandable via microSD. The phone still runs on the Snapdragon 636 chipset, much like the Redmi Note 5 Pro. Furthermore,  it includes the Adreno 509 GPU for graphics.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro packs a 4,000mAh battery with 10W charging support. The retail box packs a 5V/2A charging brick.

In terms of the design, it resembles the Redmi Note 5 Pro to a great extent with certain changes here and there. For example, it now flaunts slimmer bezels and chin below the display, making room for some more screen real estate.

So, is this the best Redmi Note ever? Well, that’s something we will be able to find out once we put it to our lab tests. But looking at its price and specifications, we can say that Xiaomi has once again kept its value-for-money proposition into the picture.
