In the past few years, the internet hosted several crazy challenges and now joining the bandwagon comes in a new trend- the 'falling stars' challenge. The bizarre challenge, that has now gone viral on social media, is also known as the 'flaunt your wealth' challenge. It involves people lying down on their face as if they have tripped and fallen down, while strategically placing valuable items and cash around themselves to look like they have spilled it out of their bags. The photographs clicked in the position are shared on social media and the hilarious results of the same are winning the internet.

As per media reports, this bizarre challenge originated in Russia in August 2018. And hundreds of people have tried their hands on the challenge and posted the pictures on social media with the hashtag #FallingStars2018. People were seen falling from luxury cars, private jets, and yachts.

However, seems like the challenge is not only restricted to humans, as people have also clicked pictures of their pets.

Here's take a look:

Media reports suggest that the challenge has gained huge popularity in China, however, it is widely criticized for highlighting the wealth gap. Previously, several other similar challenges like the 'Kiki Challenge' took the social media on fire. The challenge required one to get out of a moving vehicle and dance to the initial lines of Canadian rapper Drake's latest hit 'In my feelings' song. It became an internet sensation, as people were seen dancing by trucks, buses and even moving aircraft.

Moreover, Dele Alli’s Hand Challenge, inspired by England National Team's footballer Dele Alli's hand move, which he made after scoring a goal in one of his matches, has also stormed the internet. It became an instant hit, and people across the globe posted their attempts trying to replicate the same gesture. Moreover, the 'snoot challenge', which requires the pet dogs to put their nose inside their owner's hands, and an optical illusion 'hand-swap' challenge had also taken over the internet.
