In October, the showrunners officially confirmed that they are indeed working on Game of Thrones prequel and Naomi Watts is playing a lead role in it. But hey, Watts isn’t alone and HBO has to say a lot more about its upcoming show in its official synopsis

It’s taking place thousands of years before King Robert Baratheon paid a visit to Winterfell and asked Lord Eddard Stark to serve as the new Hand. It’s also expected to shed some light on the true origin of the White Walkers and horrifying secrets of Westeros’s history.

Game of Thrones prequel: Who are the makers?

Jane Goldman and George R.R. Martin are the creators of this new series. Goldman will be serving as the showrunner. Jane Goldman and George R.R. Martin will also be executive producers, alongside SJ Clarkson. Martin was also an executive producer on Game of Thrones and he contributed to several episode scripts.
