You are my fire, the one desire...
These words are enough to take a 90s kid to reminisce the American hit-band Backstreet Boys' chart-topping song -I want it that way'.
Such a heart-warming incident was experienced by the weary New York Subway travellers recently as shared by civil rights attorney Joel Wertheimer.
Narrating the incident, he writes:
“Had a really tough week and tonight I was the subway and some guy walks between train cars, shirtless, bumping a speaker. I wasn’t in the mood for Showtime particularly. But sometimes people and life surprise you and a little magic happens.”
The video shared by him shows the afore-mentioned 'shirtless' guy playing 'I want it that way' on his speaker and all the passengers singing to it enjoying the 90's magic.
The clip which has garnered over 2.76 million views and over 11,894 retweets has tugged at the reminiscent heartstrings of Twitterati all around:
This particular song recently gained attention when hit US-sitcom 'Brooklyn 99' featured the song as a way to break the ice in a police investigation when the show's lead character- Detective Jake Peralta makes a line-up of suspects sing one line each from the song to make the witness identify the culprit.
"Literal chills," said Peralta and the world agrees.
