Prime Minister Narendra Modi, via a LinkedIn post, extended a warm invitation to the world to join the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) Summit 2023, scheduled to commence on 12th December.
The blog encapsulates India's role in the rapidly evolving landscape of artificial intelligence (AI) and innovation.
PM Modi underscored the transformative era we are living in, saying, "Decades of fast-paced innovation and the power of human endeavour have brought to life what was once considered to be only in the realm of imagination."
He highlighted the collaborative nature of contemporary product and service creation, calling out for the involvement of multiple nations.

With a focus on AI, PM Modi celebrated India as a dynamic contributor to the global AI evolution. Recognising the nation's youthful demographics, vibrant startup ecosystem, and skilled workforce, he expressed confidence in India's potential to actively shape the not-so-distant future of AI.
"India, as one of the youngest nations with a vibrant start-up ecosystem and a talented workforce, is set to be an active contributor to the evolution of AI as the world leaps into a not-so-distant future," he said.

India's Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) initiative was also mentioned as an exemplary effort, with scalable, secure, affordable, sustainable, and replicable solutions on a global scale.
PM Modi said that in the last decade, India achieved technological leaps that surpassed the timelines of other nations, particularly in terms of mobile penetration, internet connectivity, and scalable models for digital inclusion.
PM Modi outlined India's plans to leverage AI for various productive purposes, ranging from personalised education to accessible healthcare and informed agriculture.
He articulated India's commitment to growth that is equitable and inclusive, ensuring that the benefits of innovation reach every stratum of society, stating, "When India grows, it does so to ensure an equitable and inclusive model of growth."
The blog also highlighted India's active role in GPAI, where it is a co-founder. It also pointed out India's contributions to the responsible development and use of AI with dedication to Safe and trusted AI.
As the Lead Chair of GPAI, India aims to create a regulatory framework that ensures widespread implementation, particularly benefiting nations of the Global South, stating, "India is dedicated to clearing the path for a regulatory framework that ensures Safe and Trusted AI, bringing all nations together for widespread and enduring implementation."
The Summit, featuring engaging sessions and an AI Expo with 150 startups showcasing their strengths, is poised to be a catalyst for furthering global cooperation in the responsible advancement of AI technology.
