Apple 'Scary Fast' Event: M3 chipset powered MacBook, iMac announced

Apple Scary Fast event: Apple Inc. on Tuesday, October 31, unveiled three new MacBook Pro notebooks with the new M3 chipset series, which comprises of M3, M3 Pro or M3 Max. The company has said they're “the most advanced chips ever built for a personal computer.” 

The M3 chipset powered MacBooks have a battery life of up to 22 hours as against 18 hours for M2 chipset-powered ones, according to the Apple website.

The MacBook Pro 14-inch and 16-inch variants powered by the new M3 chipset series will be available from Rs 1,69,900. 

Apple has also unveiled the new iMac which it claims is the “world's best all-in-one computer.” The new iMac is also powered by the M3 chip.

The 24-inch iMac which comes in seven vibrant colours will be available from Rs 1,34,900, according to the Apple website.

The new M3-powered iMac is said to deliver up to twice the performance compared to the previous generation in the same design and colour options.

This year commemorates the 25th anniversary of the iMac, one of the initial products introduced by Steve Jobs upon his return to Apple in the late 1990s. The original Mac, initially named the Macintosh, was unveiled in early 1984.
