Michael Douglas on possibility of being 'immortal'

Long before the threat of Artificial Intelligence (AI) playing havoc with the up and coming careers of aspiring actors - mostly extras on the sets of productions -became the forerunning concern leading into the SAG-AFTRA strike, the then unrealised possibilities of the same was actually the outline of a running joke with Michael Douglas. The quip in question was the dystopian premise of achieving "immortality" with the option of being recreated at any time and at any age by having the actor's digital rights sold. Admitting to wishing he had a better answer to address the AI revolution, Douglas labelled the issue as a double-edged sword - calling the endless possibilities that come with AI, both "exciting, but also a little scary".
