US president's son Hunter Biden will receive for his federal felony conviction on gun crimes. Joe Biden said he will not use his presidential powers to lessen the eventual sentence. In Italy for G7 summit, Biden was asked if he plans to commute the sentence for his son. Hunter's sentencing date has not been set yet; the 3 counts carry up to 25 years in jail. Whether Hunter serves any time behind bars will be up to District Judge Maryellen Noreika. The judge was nominated to the bench by former Republican President Donald Trump. Earlier, the White House declined to rule out a potential commutation for Hunter Biden. The White House has said for months that Joe Biden would not pardon his son Hunter.
