Bangkok Earthquake : In Bangkok, the shaking was so intense that water from rooftop infinity pools in luxury hotels spilled over, creating dramatic waterfall-like scenes. As high-rise buildings swayed, videos emerged showing water cascading from pools, flooding balconies and streets below. Among the most affected were the Banyan Tree, where water from its 61st-floor infinity pool gushed down, the Waldorf Astoria’s 16th-floor pool, and the Marriott Marquis’ 9th-floor pool, which completely emptied within minutes.
