On Tuesday, the Vatican released the first photo and video of Pope Francis lying in repose. The late pontiff is seen resting in an open coffin, dressed in red liturgical robes, wearing a mitre, with a rosary placed in his hands. The images were captured inside the private chapel of the Casa Santa Marta—his residence in the Vatican—where he passed away on Monday at the age of 88.
