Infighting In Maha Vikas Aghadi Alliance Emerges Over CM Face Ahead of Assembly Polls 2024
While the Congress continues to whine about his Haryana drubbing, coming out with unfounded claims against the Election Commission (EC); the focus has shifted to the upcoming assembly elections in Maharashtra . And, making no secret of his desire to return as chief minister, Shiv Sena (UBT) Uddhav Thackeray had a clip of his oath-taking during the MVA rule play during his customary address to party supporters on Dussehra. Uddhav's feelers pointed to a lack of unanimity in the Opposition alliance, as stalwart Maratha leader and the architect of the MVA, Sharad Pawar , had previously ruled out going into the Assembly elections with a CM face. Wasting little time to take a swipe at the MVA, the ruling Mahayuti dared the Opposition combine to name its CM pick. Responding to the Mahayuti, Uddhav called on the ruling coalition to come out with its CM candidate first.
