General VK Singh prays for trapped workers

A temple of Baba Basukinath Temple or Baba Baukhnath built at the main entrance of the tunnel to pray for the trapped workers in Uttarakhand’s Uttarkashi. Union minister General VK Singh (retd) also offered his prayers there on November 27. Singh also assessed the ongoing rescue efforts at the tunnel site. Earlier, PK Mishra, the Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, arrived at Silkyara tunnel to asses the ongoing rescue efforts for 41 workers. He talked to workers over phone and took stock of their health, food and other situation. A portion of an under-construction tunnel in Silkyara tunnel collapsed on November 12. The location has been identified for vertical drilling to bring out 41 workers trapped inside the Silkyara tunnel.
