Bird Unfurls National Flag in Viral Video, Check What Actually Happened

Kerala: A video from Kerala has surfaced on the internet, capturing a bird coming from afar and unfurling the national flag. The video has left the internet in splits.

The clip was posted on 17th August and has garnered over one million views on social media.

The clip shows a group of children and elders hoisting the national flag on the occasion of Independence Day. As the flag reaches the top, it seems to be stuck, and out of nowhere, a bird comes as a 'messiah' and unfurls the flag as flower petals drop.

Shilpa, the social media user who posted it, wrote in the caption, “The National Flag got stuck at the top while hoisting it. A bird came from nowhere and unfurled it!”

The video quickly captured the attention of netizens, who reacted with many amusing thoughts. One user called the bird a "paid actor," while another person labeled it a "good omen."

However, a follow-up video has dismissed the bird's magical intervention. Another video of the incident was posted in the comments and shows the actual order of events.

The video shot from a different camera angle, vividly shows the bird never unfurled the bird.

Another hawk-eyed user commented “The bird simply perched on the branch and then flew away. It didn't unfurl the flag; the camera angle created that illusion. In India, it's easy to exploit patriotism to sell anything and deceive people”.
