Caught on Cam: Emmanuel Macron's Wife Brigitte 'Slaps' Him on Face, His Office Downplays Incident

Viral News: A viral video shows French President Emmanuel Macron appearing to be slapped in the face by his wife, Brigitte Macron. The incident caught on camera when Macron was getting prepared to come out of the presidential plane in Vietnam.

Initially, the Élysée Palace denied the incident but later described it as "playful teasing", downplaying any tension between the couple. “We are squabbling and, rather, joking with my wife,” Macron later told media.

Brigitte Macron, 72, is a former teacher and wife of Emmanuel Macron, the current president of France. The couple has been married since 2007. 

The “squabbling” moment captured on camera while he was coming out of the aircraft. The French president and his wife, Brigitte, arrived in Vietnam on May 26, 2025, for a Southeast Asian tour.
