Holi 2025: Holi is just around the corner, and everyone's got a craving for something sweet. Festivals are incomplete without their traditional desserts whether it’s sewaiyan for Eid or plum cake for Christmas or gujiya for holi.
This year ahead of Holi, a famous sweet shop in the Lucknow city named Chhappan Bhog has created the largest Gujiya ever, entering the India Book of Records.
This isn’t just simple Gujiya but a giant 25 inch and 6 kilograms masterpiece. The shop named this giant gujiya the "Bahubali Gujiya", and it’s already making waves for its size and unique twist on the classic Holi treat.
The 'Bahubali Gujiya' entered its name in the India Book of Records.
Pramil Dwivedi, an official from the India Book of Records, said, "This gujiya, made by Chhappan Bhog at Phoenix Mall in Lucknow, breaks all records. When the shop owner claimed this feat, we researched and found that no such gujiya has ever been made before."
Kshitij Gupta, the Marketing Head of Chhappan Bhog, explained the inspiration behind the creation, saying, "Many festivals are being celebrated across India this year, and the Maha Kumbh holds great significance. We wanted to dedicate something special to the people, which is why we created the Maha Kumbh Gujiya."
This unique gujiya is crafted with sewai and dates, symbolizing Ramadan. Additionally, it features a creative pichkari design, celebrating the spirit of Holi and Maha Kumbh.
Gupta also shared that the Maha Kumbh Gujiya weighs 5 kgs and is priced between Rs 20,000 to 25,000. Made from cashews, almonds, and other rich ingredients, this luxurious treat is truly a masterpiece.
Many social media users are wondering whether anyone will actually buy this giant gujiya to eat or if it will simply be displayed as a decorative piece for Holi.
