Video Shows Woman Passenger Smoking Onboard Flight, Attempts To Ignite Fire After Getting Caught

Viral News: A bizarre video circulating on social media captures a woman smoking inside the plane, leaving passengers and crew members stunned. The video is said to be from Istanbul-Cyprus bound flight.

In the viral video footage, crew members can be seen trying to snatch the lighter from the woman while pouring water on her cigarette to extinguish it. Their quick actions prevented what could have been a catastrophic situation, but the chaos onboard was palpable.

The video was shared by @TaraBull808 on social media X with a caption that reads, “Passenger on a flight from Istanbul to Cyprus tried to light the plane on fire.”

The ‘Woman Smokes on Plane’ incident has sparked outrage on internet, with many condemning the passenger's reckless behavior adhering to safety protocols, emphasising that even minor violations can pose serious risks to everyone onboard.

One user wrote, “I'm sure she was arrested as soon as they hit the ground. Now she ruined her life and is labeled a terrorist. She also will never be allowed to fly on a plane again.” Another viewer says, “That's what gorilla tape is for.” 

“That's terrifying. I have lived in Cyprus for 2 years and I already have flight anxiety,” says one more.

Similar incident happened last year, a passenger onboard an Indigo flight from Doha to Hyderabad was caught smoking in the aircraft's lavatory, which triggered a smoke alert mid-flight and shocked fellow travellers.
