VIRAL VIDEO: Woman Rants About Child's Holiday Homework, Netizens Divided

New Delhi: As the summer vacations approach, children look forward to some leisure time. However, they are overburdened with holiday homework and assignments. An annoyed mother took to the internet to express her anger on schools for giving a copious amount of homework during the holidays, eventually leading to a huge debate on the internet. 

In the viral video, the frustrated woman highlights that teachers assign difficult homework knowing that the parents will complete it instead of the students. She requested teachers to give homework according to the child's capability that can be completed without the dependence of parents.

The video with the caption “Education system is doing this to parents” attracted over 6.6lakh views. Several internet users including mothers found the video ‘relatable’, however some users also argued that it's the parents' responsibility to help their children but not do their holiday work.  

A user said: “These are just pointless assignments that don't add anything to the student's learning”.

An X user wrote: “I used to do all my homework by myself while my dad only gave guidance”.

Another user suggested: “Allow kids to do it, whatever quality it is. Submit it the way kids have done.”
