Mumbai: Chilling video has surfaced on social media showing a woman being rescued by a Railway Police Force (RPF) Jawan at Borivali railway station in Maharashtra .

A woman narrowly escaped a potentially fatal accident thanks to the quick action of RPF personnel who were present at the spot. The incident took place on Saturday, when the woman lost her balance and fell while attempting to get down from a moving train at Borivali railway station.

The Incident in Detail 
The woman, as shown in the video, was trying to get down from a slow-moving train when she lost her balance and fell. She was inches away from being dragged by the train when a vigilant railway police jawan, stationed at the platform, came to her rescue. The man rushed towards her and managed to pull her towards the platform, preventing what could have been a tragic accident.

Public Reaction
The Ministry of Railways shared the CCTV  footage of the incident on social media platform, urging passengers to avoid boarding or stepping out from moving trains. The tweet read, "At Borivali railway station in Maharashtra, a woman lost her balance and fell while getting down from a moving train. The railway security personnel present there showed promptness and saved her. Please do not try to board or alight from a moving train."

The video has since gone viral, with people praising the RPF Jawan's quick response. One user wrote, “Great presence of mind! The courage and dedication of such officials deserve admiration and respect. Citizens feel safe because of their unwavering commitment.”

“Just introduce automatic doors.. if you truly care about passenger safety those manual door truly keeps us multiple decades back from rest of the world,” said another.

Heroic Efforts
The railway security personnel who rescued the woman lauded for his quick action and bravery. Many social media users have called for the officer to be rewarded for their heroic efforts. One user commented, "Such vigilant and dedicated RPF (Railway Protection Force) officers must be rewarded suitably for their brisk action in helping the commuters. This certainly will boost their morale and be an inspiration for their peers too."

The incident at Borivali railway station is not new. Such cases are common where people try to hop on moving trains and lose their lives. The Ministry of Railways post is a strict reminder for us to understand our responsibilities as citizens to follow rules, be it at railway stations or in road safety.
